Navigate to My Documents/My Games/Skyrim and delete all files and subdirectories (after making backups of course). These files can be created from Skyrim and other games when a game doesn’t save properly (shutting down the console before an autosave completes, etc). Within the menu, delete any corrupted save files. Reinstall the game via your Steam Library. Rename the folder at “My Documents\My Games\Skyrim” to SkyrimBackup. Delete the install folder, usually located at: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steamapps\Common\Skyrim. Uninstall the game via Add/Remove programs in the Control Panel.
